Great cultural experience!

This was my first time wearing a Korean traditional costume. The staff were very helpful and conversant in English and helped me pick out a beautiful Hanbok.
I wish I was informed beforehand that I was allowed free entry into Gyeongbokgung Palace because of my Hanbok. I actually purchased a ticket to enter Gyeongbokgung Palace but found out too late that I didnt need one!
Great tour

Great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the areas we visited. He took time to give the history of all the places we visited.
Chaotic and Memorable!

We booked the 4-hour theme experience for four adults (2 men and 2 women) and one 4yo and it was quite the experience!

When we arrived at 9:30AM it was a bit chaotic as there were SO MANY people there. We later found out it was the end hanbok culture week so that may have contributed to the crowd situation. It seemed all the rental locations in the area were equally busy.

We did have a bit trouble finding the location at first, and when we arrived and showed them the name of the Viator booking, the first person didn’t think we were at the correct location.

For the price it is a great deal! You can get a quick hairstyle done for free, and there are a lot of hanbok dress options - but if you are above a B cup, then you might have a hard time finding a top that will fit (this also could have been due to the high volume of people and those may have been rented out before we got there). The adult hanbok section for pants/top sets was smaller vs the skirt/top section. The kids selection was small and we had a hard time finding my daughter something that fit as everything was either toddler sized or bigger kid sized. The staff upstairs was helpful in trying to find something that could work for her size but I think it still was a little small for her height. Perhaps options were also limited here because of the culture week and so many rentals for the day?

They typically have a 30min limit to try on and select, but probably due to the volume of people looking and people in the fitting rooms, they maybe couldn’t control/enforce that, so from walking in to finally walking out dressed took us over an hour.

Once we finally were out and able to head over to Gyeongbokgung, we were happy with how our outfits turned out! We really enjoyed being able to walk around and take photos in our beautiful hanboks at our leisure since we still had a good amount of time remaining in our rental.

I would definitely recommend including this as a part of your trip if you’re visiting Seoul, and also recommend checking first to see if the timeframe you’re going will overlap with a holiday haha so you can brace yourself for it to be busy or not. We will stop by again next visit, hopefully during a less busy time!
Would have been better

The staff was helpful in selecting our costumes. The place had a lot of selections for the Hanbok. Part of the attraction stated on the overview as you can enter the Gyeongbokgung Palace if you wore a Hanbok costume. Unfortunately, we were there on a Tuesday. There should have been a notice on their website or site that the Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays so we could have selected another day.
ok

My family and I booked the Hanbok Rental Experience. When we arrived at the place, there was not much help with interacting us what to do. We had to ask what we needed to do. We were pretty much left on our own to choose, what we were unfamiliar with......only person helpful was the girl steaming the clothes next to the dressing room, who helped us to put costumes on right........

Worth renting, to visit the palace, but staff should be more helpful, and explain process better.
