What To Expect

DMZ
After pickup at your Seoul hotel in the morning or afternoon, drive to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). En route, your guide shares expert commentary on the dividing line between North and South Korea.

Get out at Imjingak Park along the banks of Imjin River to see artillery and war artifacts that were used during the Korean conflict before proceeding to Freedom bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs crossed on their return back home to South Korea.

Reboard the coach and head to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, located beneath the border of North Korea and South Korea. See where the South Koreans have blocked the actual Military Demarcation Line with concrete barricades, and browse photographs and war artifacts at the DMZ exhibition hall.

Your next stop is Dora Observatory, where you can use binoculars to get a glimpse of North Korea. Listen to your guide explain daily life in the village of Kijongdong across the river.

Continue by coach to Dorasan Station, a historic spot that not only marks the division, but also serves as a gateway for exchanges between the north and south. Pass by the Unification Village, a small farming community that specialized in creating soybean milk, traditional soy sauce and corn goods.

Must see while in South Korea!

Julie Park was an excellent tour guide! We braved the winter weather and saw many exciting things on our tour. Tunnel 3 was the highlight of the tour. There are plenty of stops to get food or something to drink. I could not recommend highly enough that while in Korea to do a guided tour of the DMZ.
Tour to DMZ - great experience

Great experience. Learned the history and the present situation. It is a unique place to visit. The Tour was well organized and explanations were clear. It is worth getting up very early to join this tour.
Fascinating trip to the DMZ

I enjoyed the DMZ tour. It is a fascinating place. Our guide was Julie and she is a lovely and nice guide. We got a couple of Korean snacks to eat. Got to look at the telescopes to view North Korea, went in the third tunnel and went to the village inside the DMZ. All very interesting.
I went in October and it was a little chilly first thing in the morning so make sure you bring warm clothes.
Since Covid pandemic there are now restrictions on the number of people who can come to the DMZ each day. Although the tour advised there was a hotel pick-up, they actually requested I meet them at the closest subway station at 5.25am. I felt safe walking in Seoul at that time, but it was cold and it would have been preferable if they did the hotel pick up like it was mentioned in the booking. They have to get to the DMZ area very early to ensure they can get tickets on the day (as the tour can’t get tickets in advance). It is beyond control of the company, but it just makes for a long and tiring day having to get up so early and then mucking around a bit before the actual tour can begin.
Overall I enjoyed it and I recommend to go to DMZ when you are in South Korea.
Great experience

Dora is an amazing guide and we're really happy with the experience. The only thing we wish for is more time, should've booked a full day tour!
