Overview

You can feel the state of the north-south division vividly in the border area between Korea and North Korea.
Imjinkaku built to pray for the unification of the Korean peninsula, the only bridge that connects the north and south over the Imjin River, and the unification of Mount Odusan where you can see the actual scenery of North Korea Go slowly around the observatory.

What To Expect

Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park
Imjinkaku is located 7 km south of the military boundary, and there is a North Korean Memorial, various monuments and a park on the site. Outside there are tanks and airplanes used during the Korean War.
Behind the Worship Hall is the “Liberty Bridge”, and after the conclusion of the ceasefire agreement of the Korean War in 1953, the prisoners of war crossed this bridge crying out, This name was given.

Odusan Unification Tower
Odusan Unified Observatory, built on the Korean side where Hangang and Imjingang meet. You can see the rural area of Kapung County in North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) across the river. A building that seems to be an apartment, something like a warehouse for farming, fields, mountains in the back…. You can slowly look at the land of North Korea, an unknown country. In addition, there is a cafeteria and a shop in the basement of this observatory, where you can buy souvenirs such as North Korean ginseng liquor, North Korean stamps and crafts. You can enjoy a slightly different atmosphere from Panmunjom and DMZ tours.
