End November at Mt Seorak

Prior to our trip we were notified that the intended DMZ day tour has to be cancelled due to swine flu and on our tour guide's recommendation we visited Mt Seorak, which turns out to be a brilliant alternative as it has just begun to be covered with snow and it was beautiful. We also visited the nearby Sokchon fishing village and market for lunch and an assortment of local snacks. Our tour guide, Miea, speaks English fluently and was very informative. She is very thoughtful and we were well taken care of during our three full day tours with her.

Best planned tour ever. Highly recommended tour guide Juno Lee. He knows where the best places to go where there is less crowd, lots of secret places for best instagrammable pictures. Great driver, you will feel safe if he is the one behind the wheel.
A choice option for a family with children and elderly parents

We booked a private tour to Seoraksan because we wanted to enjoy greater flexibility on the tour; more time to take pictures when we wanted, and a slower pace given our family of seven with young children and elderly parents.

We were impressed with Miae's steady driving prowess and her warmth; my younger daughter was stuck by her side throughout the tour. The lunch spot she brought us to was a very delicious surprise, off the beaten track and definitely not a typical tour group meal.

A top choice for us for sure!
Great private tour to Seoraksan

We had a very friendly and chatty guide, Juno, for our trip to Seoraksan. He also brought us to a nearby temple (of which he has a reasonable knowledge) and small town Sokcho for an excellent grilled seafood lunch and quick tour of a local fish market and harbour. He's also very patient and accommodating (we're a bunch of really unfit and slow people...) but we're really grateful to have him. All in all we enjoyed our day, it was nice to get a bit of glimpse of a more laid-back scene outside Seoul. Next time we're back in Korea, we will go for another tour from Top Korea Tour.
Would highly highly recommend this tour!
Wonderful day trip out of Seoul

Our guide Juno was punctual at pick up time and waited for us conveniently right outside our hotel. He was very dedicated to helping us make the most of our day trip with him to Mt Seorak. We unfortunately picked a day when there were hoards of people visiting the National Park . Due to that, we had to park really far away and Juno tried his best to get us the earliest ticket possible by putting us on a cab to the entrance of Mt Seorak and even ran ahead to join the queue to puchase tickets for the cable car. Meanwhile we did the leisurely tourist thing of taking photographs around the vicinity and even grabbed a bite to eat. While waiting for our cable car ride time, Juno took a hike with us to Biseondae Rocks and almost up to Geumganggul Caves. It was rather challenging but Juno was encouraging all the way, and the views was well worth the effort. Juno then brought us for a fish BBQ and visit to the fish market and seaside in Sokcho. Overall we had a really good experience with Juno from Top Korea Tour and would not hesitate to engage him again for our next trip to Korea. Thank you Juno!
