What To Expect

Gyeongbokgung Palace
Constructed in 1395, as the main palace of the Joseon dynasty, it had been the center of politics, art, the culture of the dynasty. It is well blended with construction technology with ancient philosophy and art. The main gate, King's office, King's sleeping chamber, queen's quarter, King and Queen's resting place, and space for the servants, and so on. Tourists will watch the cahnging guard ceremony 3 times a day. (09:00, 11:00am, 2:00 pm)
It was destryed in 1593 during Japanese invasion. Reconstructed in 1886. It is the roll model late Joseon dynasty's construction way.
The route is parking lot - main gate(watching changing guard ceremony - main office building - banquate hall- king's quarter - Queen's quarter - queen dowager's place - king and queens resting place - parking lot
The entrance fee is 3,000krw for adult and 1,500krw for kids(under 18) Infants are free(under3)

Bukchon Hanok Village
The street is very cozy and calm. People still have lived from generation to generation from ancient times. Hanok is one of 6 items that tell Korean identity. It takes 50 min to look around the village.
The tourists can try Hanbok Costume here. Besides, many experiencing centers will make the tourists happy by making knot or pouch and so on.

Cheonggyecheon Stream
Reconstructed in 2005, it becomes the leisurely place of the citizen and tourists. Gangtonggyo bridge is beautiful using the tombstone of the first king's concubine. While walking 11 km long stream, lots of historical or legendary stories will catch your eyes. (will not try the whole stream - just around 300 m only)

The heartbeat of the street is more than 120's galleries. lots of restaurants and tea houses, souvenir shops will attract tourists.
