We have a private tour, it was great. Our tour guide was friendly, told us a lot about Korea. And we had a traditional Korean BBQ lunch, which has 15-16 side dishes.

The good:

The folk village was very interesting and we had ample of time to stay to watch all the performances. The tour guide was very warm and friendly and gave us insights to the lives of the Koreans, and was always delighted to help us snap pictures. And the best part about this tour is that the tourguide brought us to a fantastic place for lunch, though it was at our own expense. I would definitely recommend a visit to the folk village. Theres another part of the village, like a mini amusement park, which we didnt explore because it wasnt included in this tour, but I thought it would be good to add that in for those with young children. If I had seen the park earlier, I would gladly skip some of the performances and visit this park instead.

The bad:

I was disappointed because the trolley broke down and we couldn't complete the tour round the fort via the original route though I must highlight that it is no fault of the guide/viator. This could be the reason why I thought the first part of the tour was a rather waste of time. Youre better off visiting the fort yourself and reading from the brochure as I feel you dont really need a guide for this. And I thought the guide could up the fun factor for us a bit more by adding more interesting snippets of ancient korea and is people.
